Dear friendliest friends,
My daily morning breakfast in Australia does not entail chicken rice, nasi lemak, wan tan mee, prawn noodles etc like how my fellow Malaysians enjoy their breakfasts.
My breakfast consist of:-
1. Glass of lemon water
2. Golden kiwi
4. Bread and butter
5. Yoghurt with my all-time-diet secret which are chia seeds that is depicted on the photograph.
Chia seeds are a plant-based source of omega-3, dietary fibre and antioxidants. Chia seeds provides a sustained release of energy to improve endurance, aid mobility and help with muscle repair. It also lowers cholesterol, improves intestinal health and regularity and can reduce the risk of colon cancer.
For a diabetic patient, just one tablespoon can help reduce blood glucose levels. Omega-3 found in the seeds will help maintain a healthy heart by helping to lower cholesterol while maintaining proper artery function. Chia seeds are natural source of protein which are the building blocks of our hair, nails and skin. Consuming chia seeds daily will restore and repair hair, nails and skin.
Most importantly, chia seeds gives you a fuller feeling leaving you feeling satisfied for longer. Therefore, you consume less calories hence weight loss.
They’re tasteless and they look like tadpoles if immersed in water. I love the crunch that it gives me in my mushy yoghurt.
I hope these health tips are useful to all of you. I am not in any way trying to advertise anything but I love to share so that everyone can benefit from it.
p.s: Did you know diabetes is increased by 33% in the past 20 years because of the increased number of overweight people? Treat your body like a temple. You only have one body to live.
